Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce the recent editorial board appointments of two of the firm’s attorneys by Law360. Bankruptcy partner Gregory G. Hesse and insurance coverage counsel Jorge R. Aviles will serve on Law360’s Bankruptcy Editorial Board and Insurance Authority Specialty Lines Editorial Board, respectively.

As members on their respective boards, these attorneys will provide “feedback on publication coverage and expert insight on how to best shape future coverage.” These appointments reflect our attorneys’ reputation as leaders in their respective fields and recognize their valuable insights and contributions to thought leadership.

Dallas-based partner Hesse focuses his practice on searching for pragmatic solutions to complex problems in the context of restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy. He represents borrowers, debtors, secured creditors, trade creditors, contract counterparties, unsecured creditors’ committees, equity holders, and trustees on all sides of insolvency situations, with an emphasis on representing creditors of all types. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Hesse advises financial services clients on consumer protection compliance and litigation, and provides guidance to financial institutions as they navigate the legal issues related to advancing technology in payment methods.

Located in Washington, DC, Aviles concentrates his practice on complex insurance recovery disputes on behalf of corporate and public policyholders, including coverage matters arising from cross-border risks and international transactions. He also counsels clients on risk management and insurance recovery strategy. Through mediations, arbitrations – including in international forums – and trials, Aviles has assisted in the recovery of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for clients. He is a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and a graduate of the DC Bar John Payton Leadership Academy.
