Hunton Attorney Honored by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP associate Jessica Rivero has been recognized by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers’ as a “Woman to Watch.” The award will be presented at the inaugural Impact Awards which recognize outstanding women lawyers in Miami-Dade County who have practiced law for eight years or less or are 35 years of age or younger, and who demonstrate both remarkable leadership and a commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Miami Beach Woman’s Club.

An associate in Hunton’s mergers and acquisition practice, Rivero represents public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, bank finance transactions, private offerings of debt and equity securities throughout the United States and Latin America. She also advises commercial and multilateral lenders on a variety of structured and corporate finance transactions impacting the financial services, energy and hospitality industries, among others.

Committed to pro bono, Rivero volunteers her time to screen potential cases for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, a nonprofit organization that works to prevent and correct the conviction of innocent people in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. She routinely advises other pro bono clients, including the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association and Restoration Immigration Legal Aid with respect to their corporate and immigration needs.

Rivero exemplifies exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to the legal profession and the advancement of women in law.
