Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP Celebrates Earth Day 2025 Through Global Initiatives

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP celebrated the 55^th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd and honored the holiday through various initiatives at offices across the globe. The Firm Green Team, a group of lawyers and professional staff who are charged with continuously improving the firm’s environmental stewardship and sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint, chose “Our Power, Our Planet” as this year’s theme.

“Hunton is always eager to do our part to support sustainability efforts in honor of Earth Day, and this year is no different,” said partner Jason Feingertz. “Earth Day gives us the opportunity to collaborate as a firm and celebrate the opportunity to give back to our planet and the communities we serve.”

Activities, events and initiatives supporting sustainability took place in offices across the U.S., including Houston, New York, Richmond and more offices across the globe reflecting the firm’s widespread commitment.

Hunton Earth Day events included:

• Houston, TX – The Houston team hosted a recycling event helping to raise awareness about sustainable practices such as how to reduce waste and properly sort recyclables.
• New York, NY – The New York office held a Build-Your-Own-Terrarium workshop, providing team members the opportunity to cultivate a mini ecosystem in a fun, hands-on manner.
• Richmond, VA – The Richmond office held an electronics recycling drive, giving employees the chance to sustainably dispose of old handheld electronics such as phones, tablets and chargers.
• Tokyo, Japan – A hands-on workshop offered firm members of the Tokyo office the opportunity to create a mount for a staghorn fern promoting sustainable plant care.

The firm also hosted internal educational and interactive events at several offices focusing on the core values of Earth Day recognizing the importance of the shared dependence on the planet and fostering a sense of collective responsibility.
