Virginia Lawyers Weekly Names Susan Wiltsie Among Influential Women of Law

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Wiltsie, partner in the firm’s Washington office has been named among Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2022 Influential Women of Law. Wiltsie’s practice focuses on labor, employment and OSHA compliance, pandemic preparedness and response, litigation and defense.

With a background in OSHA and labor and employment law, Wiltsie had a skill set positioned to provide comprehensive COVID-19 advice during the pandemic.  She used her interdisciplinary knowledge to help clients develop COVID-19 mitigation plans that addressed federal, state and local requirements, OSHA, workers’ compensation, union issues, and employment laws and legal risks.  She also successfully defended clients accused of insufficient COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

Susan also regularly dedicates professional and personal time to pro bono activities and charity organizations.  Her pro bono and charity work includes assistance to faith organizations, community health centers, and organizations dedicated to the academic and professional advancement of women. 

The award, now in its fourth year, honors women attorneys and judges in Virginia for their work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients, commitment to their communities and service to the legal profession. Hunton Andrews Kurth counsel Vicki Tucker and partners Alexandra Cunningham and Rudene Mercer Haynes were previously named to the list in 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on May 25, 2022 at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond. Each honoree will also be profiled in a special supplement in Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s May 30 issue. See the full list of honorees.
