Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP announces the promotion of 11 lawyers to counsel. The firm proudly recognizes these talented individuals for their accomplishments and outstanding client service.

Kathryn Elizabeth Boatman (Litigation, Houston) joined the firm in 2012. Katy has extensive experience in both state and federal courts litigating constitutional and election issues; commercial, oil and gas, and copyright disputes; and countless other matters. Her clients have spanned a wide range of industries, including both government entities and hospitals, banks, oil and gas companies, aerospace companies and others. Anthony Bonan (Capital Finance & Real Estate, New York) joined the firm in 2015. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, financing, leasing and joint ventures. Anthony has extensive experience counseling institutional investors and lenders, real estate opportunity funds and private developers on all aspects of their real estate-related business. Sarah S. M. Carpenter (Corporate, Richmond) joined the firm in 2013. She assists with the preparation and documentation of complex information technology and business process outsourcing transactions, as well as the drafting of various corporate, commercial contracting and licensing agreements. Sarah also has experience in structuring and managing complex commercial lending transactions involving public and private corporate clients. Julie A. Cress (Administrative Law Group, San Francisco) joined the firm in 2016. She counsels her clients on regulatory development, as well as environmental enforcement matters, and has extensive experience related to California air quality and greenhouse gas regulations and on the federal and state regulations related to accidental release prevention and mitigation and process safety. Ashley Drummond (Capital Finance & Real Estate, Dallas) joined the firm in 2008. Her practice focuses on multi-state commercial real estate and loan transactions. Carleton Goss (Corporate, Dallas) joined the firm in 2016. His practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions to resolve complex regulatory and enforcement matters, and counsels them on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. Carl’s experience as a lawyer with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and his role with multiple rulemakings under the Dodd-Frank Act give him a unique, insider’s perspective on bank regulatory compliance. Megan E. Kaufmann (Corporate, Richmond) joined the firm in 2008. She assists public and private company clients with mergers and acquisitions and corporate law matters. Megan also represents pro bono clients, such as not-for-profit corporations and refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Todd S. Mikolop (Administrative Law Group, Washington, DC) joined the firm in 2015. He advises and defends clients in internal investigations and environmental enforcement actions. Todd has led investigations and prosecutions across numerous industries, including oil and gas, mining, public utilities and internationally regulated shipping. He also led investigations and prosecutions of complex environmental cases such as those involving water pollution, air pollution, hazardous waste and wildlife, and white collar crime offenses alleging conspiracy, false statements, obstruction, money laundering and smuggling. Connelia Savage (Corporate, Richmond) joined the firm in 2017. She advises clients on global commercial contracting, outsourcing and technology issues. Connelia has led large-scale commercial contracting projects and advises clients on legal compliance management and a wide range of contract matters. She prepares and negotiates outsourcing, supplier, service, licensing and other technology contracts and agreements. Sunyi Snow (Corporate, Dallas) joined the firm in 2015. Her practice focuses on all aspects of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and real estate transactions. She represents issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, with an emphasis on structured and restructured issuances of mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities. In addition, Sunyi regularly advises clients on SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Jessica R. Tobin (Capital Finance & Real Estate, Richmond) joined the firm in 2010. Her practice focuses on the representation of corporate borrowers in both cash-flow and asset-based financings. Jessica has experience representing borrowers and lenders in connection with secured and unsecured revolving, bridge and term loan facilities, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations and “going private” transactions, with an emphasis on the representation of portfolio company borrowers. She also represents residential mortgage servicers and lenders in financing servicing advance receivables and servicing rights.
