Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Underwriter on $95 Million Series 2023-A Senior Secured Securitized Utility Tariff Bonds

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP acted as counsel to the underwriters on an SEC-registered offering of $95 million Series 2023-A Senior Secured Securitized Utility Tariff Bonds (the “Bonds”) by Atmos Energy Kansas Securitization I, LLC, as “Issuing Entity,” a special purpose entity, wholly-owned by Atmos Energy Corporation (“Atmos Energy”), as sponsor, initial servicer and depositor. The Bonds were sold pursuant to a financing order issued by the Kansas Corporation Commission. The Bond proceeds will be used to purchase securitized utility tariff property from Atmos Energy. In accordance with the financing order, Atmos Energy will use the proceeds to recover, finance or refinance the qualified extraordinary cost related to Winter Storm Uri.
